Si annuncia un’edizione dei premi Oscar davvero intensa considerati i film, gli attori e i registi candidati a vincere le statuette 2003. In assoluto, il musical Chicago ha ottenuto tredici candidature. Nella lista dei film con piu’ nomine seguono Gangs of New York con dieci, The Hours con nove, Il Pianista con sette, mentre hanno ottenuto sei candidature Frida, Il Signore degli Anelli: Le Due Torri ed Era Mio Padre. Delusione per Roberto Benigni, gli italiani in lizza per un Oscar il 23 marzo a Los Angeles sono tre. Alberto Grimaldi, uno dei produttori del film ‘Gangs of New York’, che potrebbe portarsi a casa la statuetta per il miglior film dell’anno. Tra i candidati alla migliore scenografia vi sono anche Dante Ferretti e Francesca Lo Schiavo per il set di ‘Gangs of New York’ creato a Cinecitta’.
